Stan and Adele enjoyed a weekend getaway in November
2004 to Colorado Springs. We did all the normal tourist stuff - Garden
of the Gods, Pikes Peak, World Figure Skating Hall of Fame, U.S. Olympic
Training Center, US Air Force Academy, Focus on the Family, and much
more.
Adele also was able to experience an expected surprise. Although she
is not fond of heights, she actually rappelled down one of the Garden
of the Gods formations. When we were visiting Garden of the Gods, we
enjoyed watching some friendly climbers from Texas and started talking
with them. They offered to train Adele and let her go down - She did
it twice!
